Pakistan Builds a National Super App for All Government E Services

Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has started working on a National Super App and Web Portal that will serve as a one stop solution for citizens and businesses to access government services across federal and provincial levels.

The initiative is part of the Digital Economy Enhancement Project, supported by the World Bank, which aims to make digital services more accessible and user friendly throughout the country.

Through this super app, people will be able to complete everyday tasks such as renewing licenses, filing taxes, applying for permits, or accessing healthcare and education services, all in one place.

The platform will be available around the clock on both web and mobile and will support multiple languages so that it can be useful for everyone. Users will log in easily with their national identity and get personalized dashboards to make navigation quick and efficient.

The project is also expected to improve governance by reducing paperwork, speeding up processes, and cutting administrative costs. With features like digital notifications, real time status updates, and automated reminders, citizens will experience less hassle while government departments benefit from more transparency and efficiency.

Security is a top priority, and the platform will be designed with strong protections such as encryption, zero trust frameworks, and compliance with both Pakistan’s upcoming Personal Data Protection Bill and international standards like GDPR.

It will also integrate with NADRA’s digital ID system, ensuring secure and reliable authentication, including biometric verification.

It’s Scalability is built into the design in this way the app can grow over time by adding new services, partner features, and even sustainable revenue models like subscriptions and ads.

The ministry is in the process of hiring a consultancy firm to design and develop the system using modern frameworks that make it easy to update, secure, and maintain.

Once launched, the National Super App and Web Portal are expected to completely change how citizens interact with government services. By making services simple, secure, and available in one place, Pakistan is taking a big step toward digital transformation and building a more transparent, citizen friendly future.
